How to make XP Genuine

Steps to follow :-

1. Click "Start" then go to "Run" and in the window that appear type:regedit(just type it as it is)

2. Go to the key:

     *HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\WPAEvents\OOBETimer and doubleclick on it. Then delete everything you see (press Ctrl+a at the same time and press Del or Delete button as it is on your keyboard) and finally close regedit.

3. Repeat Step 1) but this time instead of "regedit" you must type or simply copy and paste this one: %systemroot%\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /a in "Run" window

4. The activation screen will come up, check the "Yes, I want to telephone a customer representative to active windows", then click on NEXT, after that just click on CHANGE PRODUCT KEY, and enter in this key:

      

    K2CXT-C6TPX-WCXDP-RMHWT-V4TDT.

5. Press UPDATE key and close the window. Now try downloading a genuine software from microsoft.com , like Windows Media Player 11. Before the download, they'll ask you to validate xp. If you go through this validate process, then your xp is genuine.

6. Enjoy your Genuine Xp now!

TIPS:-

• If you want your Windows XP to be always genuine and not get into any legal problems with Microsoft then you have to Disable Microsoft Windows Critical Updates.Below are the Steps:
• Go to "Start"--> then on "Control Panel" (be sure that the control panel is in classic view)
• Go to "Automatic Updates" and DOUBLE-CLICK on it.
• Select "Turn Off Automatic Updates" options and hit "Apply" and you are Done!
• Now 1 thing! It must be annoying to have alerts every 2 minutes that Automatic Updates is turned off. So to remove annoying alerts you have to DOUBLE-CLICK the small "red" icon where the clock is situated in the extreme bottom right. The Security Center will appear and in the left there will be some options (Be sure to select the "Change the way Security Center alerts me " option) and from there uncheck the "Automatic Updates" option.
