MICROSOFT SURFACE TABLET

Microsoft recently announced that they are gonna launch two tablets: Surface for Windows 8 RT and Surface for Windows 8 Pro. Yes you heard right, these are two different variants of Microsoft Surface. In this article , I am gonna clean the doubts between them. The both of the,m have a good looking design and a flip out stand for use with dock-able keyboard.

Microsoft Surface Back view

Surface for Windows RT
This version of surface will be cheaper than the surface for Windows 8 Pro. The major No-No is that you will be only able to run Windows 8 Metro. And apps? Apps will be downloaded From the Store.A negative point of the Windows 8 Store is that it has a collection of mere 100 Apps, adding 1-2 apps per day. So it means no exes and now Windows games here. Okay, now coming to connectivity, This tablet will be having USB 2.0 ports, HDMI and SDCard slots. Okay not bad enough. And WiFi for sure.Another negative part is that no 3G SIM cards support.

Microsoft is tight lipped when talking about processor and RAM, But some sources sya that this tablet will be powered by nVidia Tegra processor.
The good thing about Surface is its keyboard. This tablet can be attached magnetically with full physical QWERTY keyboard. And when folded, it will serve as a nice Keyboard Cover.
Below are the full specs of Surface for Windows 8 RT
  • OS: Windows RT
  • Weight: 676 g
  • Depth: 9.3 mm
  • Display: 10.6 inch
  • Connectivity: microSD, USB 2.0, Micro HDMI
  • Storage: 32GB, 64GB
Seems nice huh, then look below for Surface for Windows 8 Pro

Surface for Windows 8 Pro
This is a hardcore version of Surface tab. Powered by Intel Core i5 Ivy Bridge processor and USB 3.0 Ports, this is the heavier and costlier version of Surface Tab. The main plus point of this Surface will full Windows 8 OS. Yes you will be able to run .EXE apps and access Desktop. It will be a good replacement for Ultrabook. Almost every feature is more than the surface for Windows Rt. Read them all below. Though this one is bit more heavier and witha  larger 13 Inch display.
I will only say, "Go Micro Go"
  • OS: Windows 8 Pro
  • Weight: 903 g
  • Depth: 13.5 mm
  • Display: 10.6-inch ClearType Full HD Display
  • Connected: microSDXC, USB 3.0, Mini DisplayPort Video, 2x2 MIMO antennae
  • Configurable: 64GB, 128GB
So what do you say about these tablets, will they work or it will be another FAIL like the one happened in year 2003 when Microsoft launched Windows XP based tablets.
